An Enfamil Formula to Help Meet Your Baby’s Needs
If your baby’s having a hard time with his or her feedings, it’s probably because their little digestive system is still developing and may need some additional TLC. Fortunately, there’s an Enfamil formula designed to help meet these feeding needs.
These formulas are formulated to include a blend of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and ARA (arachidonic acid), nutrients found in breast milk that help in the development of a baby’s brain, eyes, and immune system. Whatever your baby’s feeding need, there’s an Enfamil formula to help.
A Specialty Formula for Babies with Milk Protein Allergy
If your baby experiences excessive crying or appears colicky, this may be due to the regular infant formula they are drinking. Your baby could have an allergy or sensitivity to the cow’s milk protein found in that formula. Nutramigen with Enflora LGG* has been specially designed to help manage babies with cow’s milk protein allergy. Ask your baby’s doctor if this formula is right for your baby.
The Story Behind the Allergy
What causes a milk protein allergy or sensitivity? A baby’s intestine is naturally immature at birth. As your baby feeds, whole proteins are digested and absorbed into the intestine. But occasionally, larger proteins can slip through the immature intestinal barrier.
In infants with a cow’s milk protein allergy, these proteins are misrecognized as a foreign body, or antigen, which leads to an immune response, eventually causing the intestine to become inflamed. Prolonged inflammation allows for an increased transfer of antigens, causing more inflammation and discomfort for a baby.
Manage Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy with the Power of Two
Formulas like this one, designed for infants with cow’s milk protein allergy, use proteins that are extensively broken down to reduce allergen exposure and avoid an allergic response.
With the Power of Two, this formula not only has these broken-down proteins–it also has a probiotic that helps the strength of the intestinal barrier. Nutramigen effectively manages colic due to a cow’s milk protein allergy fast–often within 48 hours.
Recommended and Trusted
With 70 years of proven performance, Nutramigen has long been recommended by doctors and trusted by mom to effectively manage cow’s milk protein allergy. Now, with the Power of Two, it also has an extensively studied probiotic for allergy management.

Miracle for acid reflex.
We tried this out because my son had awful acid reflux and it worked like a miracle. He went from puking up half the bottle to just a little or nothing at all. It’s cheaper to buy it using “Subscribe and Save” but still really expensive. Our pediatrician told us to try Soy formula instead and use 1 oz of prune juice once to twice a day in it to take care of constipation. It didn’t work as well as Nutramigen (aka “Liquid Gold” as referred to by our pediatrician) but it was a lot cheaper and since our son ate like crazy (he always weighed in over the 90th percentile) it was a better choice for us. If we could afford it though, we would have went with this instead. Just a note: we also had him taking prescription acid reflex medications as well as using Comotomo baby bottles which both also seemed to help tremendously.

Awesome product …. Great Amazon Service …
Our child had milk allergy and we had him on Nutramigen for about a year and a half starting from the 3rd week after his birth. This one I should say was a life saver. We tried so many products and then our ped recommended this one and we saw immediate results (like the next day). He started feeling much better and within a week of starting on this powder he was back to normal. The ped kept him on this until he was about 18 months old and then slowly started on cow’s milk. He is now 4 and no longer has milk allergy (thank goodness!!!).Amazon always did a great job of delivering on time. I had the subscribe and save option – this saved me a little money and that goes a long way as this product is definitely not cheap (but no complaints).

Made a world of difference
I self diagnosed my son with Milk/Soy Protein Intolerance(MSPI) at 4 months. He was on Axid and Prevacid and was still a miserable, screaming, vomiting, eczema-covered mess. He did not have the typical blood in his stool that MSPI is known for, so the first doctor did not diagnose it. I read an awesome book by a pediatric GI that explained that blood and mucous in the stool are not required. I put him on this and saw an improvement in all of his symptoms within less than a week (usually 2 weeks are required for formula switches). This stuff literally changed my son’s life. I took off one star because it would be nice to have another source of carbohydrate other than corn syrup. I know Similac Allimentum uses Tapioca startch, but I don’t like that it also uses sucrose, which caused me to pick this. YES is smells like gym socks. NO my son did not care, he went to town on it like he hadn’t been fed in weeks. It does cause looser stools, so if your child is prone to that anyway, it will take a little time for his/her system to adjust. My son was constipated all the time, and this actually helped with that (which also helps with reflux). If reflux meds are not doing enough, please try this. MSPI and reflux have similar symptoms and 40+% of reflux babies also have MSPI, much higher than the general population. GOOD LUCK!! Also, while Amazon Subscribe and Save is the best deal you can get when purchasing directly (anywhere, even with coupons), if you get a diagnosis of MSPI from an MD, your health insurance may partially pay for this formula under your durable medical equipment clause. I got a prescription for it and have to go through a third party equipment company to order it and they send it to me directly. It saves me about 2/3 of the total cost.

Works but is super expensive and the containers aren’t great
Let me start by saying this formula does actually work for our baby. We were using the Enfamil Sensitive formula prior to this and while that formula did work better than other sensitive formulas from other brands, this lactose free formula does wonders with our baby. Though it does make my baby’s burps smell quite interesting, and the stools…wow, we won’t even begin to describe those. It does leave an oily feel to his bottles, which just requires diligent cleaning on our end. But we appreciate that our boy isn’t breaking out in huge hives all over his body, spitting up far less, and is able to poop regularly now thanks to this formula. Now for the cons. The price is definitely the first. We thought Enfamil’s Sensitive formula was overpriced, but this stuff takes it to the next level. Per fluid ounce, this is almost 2x as expensive as the Neuropro Sensitive we were on. That price difference can fluctuate based on the current shortages of formula we all know we’re facing. The container for the Lactose Free is pretty lacking especially if you’ve used Enfamil Neuropro Sensitive and experience the difference in containers between the two. Neuropro Sensitive comes in a nice plastic container with a flip top lid. The formula comes in a foil-like bag and the scoop is wrapped in plastic. You can easily dump the powder into the plastic container, and then the lid even has a nice spot to store the plastic measuring scoop so you don’t have to dig it out of the powder each time you make a bottle. It’s like they really thought it through for the Sensitive babies. Then there is the lactose free formula container. It’s similar to other formulas…other much much cheaper formulas. You remove the plastic lid, and then there is a small ring you use to crack the seal. When you crack that seal, do it slowly and aim it away from your face. Because of the pressure inside the canister, you usually get a face full of powder that will wreak havoc on your lungs. On top of that, your super expensive magic dust (aka Lactose Free formula) is everywhere it shouldn’t be. Oh and that scoop? Yeah, reminds me why I never became an archaeologist. Good luck digging for that scoop especially without spilling any of your super expensive magic dust.Yes, the formula has worked. But wow, it’s crazy expensive and we know Enfamil is capable of better packaging, they just didn’t use that style for this stuff. Maybe it’s just super expensive to make this formula and nicer packaging would have just made this product even more expensive? Let’s hope that’s the reason.
